Following that\, Mr. Miranda was a biology professor for nearly 8 years with Taft College in California’s central valley before transitioning into administration. \nMr. Miranda came to Cerritos College in the spring of 2012 as the Dean of Academic Affairs. In February of 2016 he was appointed the Acting Vice President of Academic Affairs and Assistant Superintendent\, and in May 2017 he was appointed to serve in this position permanently. Rick continually facilitates opportunities for the campus to develop culturally responsive teaching and learning. He supports innovative education\, curriculum and pedagogy\, integrative teaching and learning\, and research-based methodology. My current role as the Dean of Distance Education is the most exciting one yet.
