Quest & Readiness- Preparing Student for Success in the Online Environment
In this Student Support Services webinar, you will learn about the efforts being made by the California Virtual College- Online Education Initiative to promote Online Readiness Modules to prepare students for the online learning environment. Anita Crawley, the Readiness Coordinator will provide an introduction of the Quest & Readiness tools, and share important ideas on how this readiness tool can be implemented beyond instruction. Anita Crawley Readiness Coordinator Bio: Anita Crawley is the Readiness Coordinator for the California Virtual College-Online Education Initiative. Anita has worked at community colleges in Maryland and Illinois as an academic and career counselor. She developed and instructed First Year Experience, Career Development, Personal Growth, and Diversity courses and then became hooked on how technology can facilitate the support of students. After developing and teaching online courses and online student services, she directed a distance learning program. She has also taught faculty how to teach online for the Illinois Virtual Campus and UCLA Extension. Her book, Supporting Online Students: A Guide to Planning, Implementing, and Evaluating Services was published in 2012. |
