Training Opportunity: Canvas Certified Technical Administrator
Objective
Due to the increased complexities of maintaining a safe and secure Canvas environment, CVC@ONE is launching a partnership with Instructure to offer discounted seats for California Community College employees identified as key personnel operating Canvas instances across the system. This is not a required training for Canvas administrators; rather, an opportunity for professional development.
Are you a technical admin of your Canvas instance? The Canvas Certified Technical Admin (CCTA) program is designed to provide technical admins the knowledge they need to ensure a successful setup, design, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of their Canvas instances. Instructure offers a three-course program that will help ANY Canvas admin - new, experienced, root, sub-account - create an Admin Plan for their instance that will ensure best practice, design, and upkeep of institutional knowledge. Another major benefit of being certified is the ability to access level two technical support directly.
Cost and Time Commitment
CVC has secured individual seats at a rate of $1,350 per seat, with a minimum of 20 registrants. This is significantly lower than the $2500 individual pricing. CVC@ONE will facilitate invoicing with each participant and handle enrollments to utilize bulk pricing rates. The time commitment is three hours per week.
Timeline
The fall session will be from August 4, 2025, to December 7, 2025.
Registration
To register, an LMS admin may fill out an Interest Form that must also include their supervisor’s name and email. Upon reaching the 20 participant threshold, CVC will send an Adobe contract to the supervisor for a signature, and then invoice at the start of the class date. Prior to registration, you will need approval from your supervisor to ensure you have funds and time available to participate fully. Once you register and are confirmed in a section, CVC@ONE will invoice your district for $1350 per seat.
