Pre-Submission Checklist

Before faculty (course authors) submit their course for review, we recommend that the review team creates a process for submitting the course, including the use of a few checklists so that the course author is able to self-assess the alignment of the course.

The following are examples and recommendations that your team can adopt or modify to fit your review team and college’s needs.

First, we recommend that the course author complete a self-check of rubric items A-C. This will help course authors understand the content that should be present in their online course. Here is an example of a Course Review A-C Checklist

Next, the course author should complete an accessibility check for the course. This will allow for course authors to make appropriate accessibility corrections/changes. Here are two examples of accessibility checklists.

Finally, we recommend that your team develop a process for course authors to prepare the course shell for review. These minor details will help the review team keep courses organized.  Here is an example of a course preparation checklist.
