Digital Learning Day
February 22, 2018 | #CCCDLDay
A 1-day, free online conference in celebration of digital learning.
#CCCDLDay will be a day of exploration designed to tickle your
curiosity, showcase effective uses of digital tools in teaching and learning
across the CCCs, and provide opportunities to experiment
with emerging technologies in a safe, supportive peer-based environment.
Samantha Adams Becker is the Senior Director of Publications & Communications for the New Media Consortium (NMC), where she manages the NMC Horizon Project and NMC Horizon Report series, analyzing emerging technology uptake in various learning sectors across the globe. She has authored 60+ edtech-focused publications, including three on digital literacy, and travelled the world presenting the findings. Most recently, Samantha co-authored the 2017 Digital Literacy Impact Study, which uncovered the learner’s perspective of how digital literacy training influences work life after graduation.
@ONE will coordinate a day of online sessions and we hope your local campus will coordinate support for on-site activities. Ideas include reserving a room where faculty/staff can view and discuss the online sessions; organizing hands-on experimentation time in a computer lab; promoting the event to faculty/staff who may not be able to be on campus, but are still eager to learn more about digital learning; encourage sharing and reflection across campus using the hashtag #CCCDLDay.
Get Ready to Share Your Teaching and Learning Innovations!
Do you often hear your peers say, "How did you do that?" or "Can you show me how that works?" That's a sign that you're an innovative educator with digital teaching and learning practices that your peers want to learn from! #CCCDLDay is your stage. In January, we'll be opening a call for proposals for CCC faculty and staff to share.
