Redesigning the Online Student Experience: Making Equity Visible

In this Student Support Services webinar, Facilitators Arnita Porter and Jessica Hurtado will introduce you to ongoing efforts by the Online Education Initiative (OEI) to improve student success and completion rates by utilizing equity and culturally responsive practices to reduce achievement and opportunity gaps.

Facilitators, Arnita Porter and Jessica Hurtado, will

  • Share effective strategies for applying an equity lens to policies and practices, and the delivery of student support services
  • Provide tools for creating welcoming environments to increase students’ sense of belonging in the online learning environment

Attend this webinar to learn how OEI can support your college-wide student success efforts by improving the online student experience through equity-minded strategies and practices.

 

Registration Instructions:  This webinar will be hosted through ConexED-Classrooms so this track has a different registration process:
1. Click the ‘Register Now’ button. (This takes you to Ms. Hurtado’s ConexED Card.)
2. Select the green icon (@ONE Student Support Services) to register.
3. Then, Select “New Registration”  All participants will be considered NEW, so please select the “New Registration” option when prompted to sign-in.

    • Hi Rhonda. Sorry for the confusion. This track has a different registration process.
      1. Click the ‘Register Now’ button. (This takes you to Ms. Hurtado’s ConexED Card.)
      2. Select the green icon (@ONE Student Support Services) to register.
      3. Then, Select “New Registration”

      I will update the instructions to make this more explicit. Thanks for the feedback.

  1. There is no “New Registration” link directly after the green icon. There is a sign in for either Canvas or Cranium Cafe.
