Alison Varty, faculty at College of the Siskiyous, will present some of the current trends in online science education, emphasize different online science course format options, provide ideas for engaging science students in online courses and related resources, and
    discuss some of the relevant pros and cons.

    This session is intended for faculty members that would like to include live presentations in their online courses or are interested in teaching public speaking 100% online. Angela Prelip, faculty at Folsom Lake College, will give an overview of the pilot program and the changes in the CSU Instructional Modality requirements for public speaking, emphasize how students give speeches in the presence of students and the instructor, and discuss some of the relevant pros and cons.
